Internships
CARE USA welcomes and encourages students who are interested in making a difference in the world to think about an internship. Where will an internship with CARE take you? Perhaps to a new location. Maybe towards new ideas. But most importantly, to a new level of experience. In your internship at CARE, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in just a few months' time. You'll be able to take what you've learned in school and use it to make a real contribution to the eradication of poverty.
Requirements
To qualify for an internship at CARE, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be enrolled full- or part-time in an accredited university, either as a junior or senior in an undergraduate program or as a graduate student. If you are about to graduate, you also may participate as long as you are still enrolled at the time of your interview.
- You must meet your school's requirements for participation (if applicable). Your school will be contacted to verify your eligibility.
- In order to be considered for an internship at any of our U.S.-based offices, you must be authorized to work in the United States. You will be required to submit verification of this prior to starting your internship.

Become a Fellow to learn, lead and join CARE's fight against poverty!
CARE USA welcomes and encourages graduate students and CARE staff with leadership potential to become CARE USA Fellows. Created in honor of our former President and CEO Peter Bell, this exciting fellowship program demonstrates our commitment to exercising leadership at CARE. Fellows will advance CARE's poverty-fighting vision and mission, and help us meet the organization's current and future goals.
As a fellow, you'll work either within a CARE country office in the regions where we operate, in a U.S. field office or at our Atlanta headquarters for on assignments that may last from six months up to a year. During your fellowship, you'll participate in significant projects and initiatives designed to gain and deepen your leadership competencies while adding value to CARE. Your fellowship will include a stipend or salary plus benefits, as well as travel, housing and other local expenses. Fellowship applicants will participate in a highly competitive, rigorous selection process.
