Situation: The world's worst humanitarian crisis rages on in Sudan's western Darfur region. More than 380,000 people have died in the two-year conflict. Another 10,000 may die every month as the fighting continues. Some 2 million people have been displaced, and depend on emergency relief to survive.
Our Response: ARE is hard at work in refugee camps across Darfur and neighboring Chad. 400,000 people receive food, blankets, soap, and other important survival items every month. CARE also runs three health clinics that treat some 1,500 people each week. Another 265,000 receive safe water and sanitation services. With your help, families can survive this crisis.
