One of the most powerful ways for you to support CARE's work with women is to talk about CARE with the people you know best: your family, friends and members of your social club or faith group. To help you spread the word about CARE's mission to empower women in the fight against global poverty, we've developed a set of materials called the Power Pack.
The Power Pack includes a number of resources to help you speak confidently about why you support CARE. Inside, you'll find:
- "I Am Powerful" Overview: This brief summary explains CARE's strategy to help women fulfill their potential and overcome poverty. You can use the statistics and specific examples when talking with others about your involvement with CARE.
- Engagement Brochure and Handouts: This is your "menu" of options to engage with CARE. There are also smaller versions of this brochure that each member of your chapter can take home.
We've also produced a set of videos, shown at right, that you can use to introduce CARE to your group. You can order a free "I Am Powerful" Action Kit DVD including these videos, personal stories and ways to engage by e-mailing groups@care.org or calling 1-800-521-CARE. Please include your name, mailing address and the name and size of your group in your message. The Action Kit DVD offers a compelling look at the people that make up CARE — both staff members and project participants — and it's a great way to spread the word about CARE's inspiring work with women.
Once you've introduced CARE to your group, consider joining the CARE MORE Giving Circle Challenge! Support CARE's poverty-fighting work with your group and help us raise $1 million to benefit women worldwide. Click here to learn more and get involved today.
